modi

NEW DELHI: Prime Minister Narendra Modi has alleged that Uddhav Thackeray's Shiv Sena wants to bury him alive to appease the minority vote bank. At the election rally in the Nandurbar district of northern Maharashtra, the Prime Minister weaponized NCP leader Sharad Pawar's statement that small parties would merge with the Congress after the elections.

"They are insulting me and their favourite vote bank will like it. Can there be hatred like this?" Modi asked. Modi's allegation was based on Shiv Sena UBT leader Sanjay Raut's statement that Modi would be buried in Maharashtra like Mughal Emperor Aurangzeb, who came from Gujarat.

Criticizing the Congress manifesto, Modi said that giving benefits on the basis of religion is against the values and principles envisaged by the Constitution. He said that as long as Modi is alive, reservation for Dalits, Adivasis and OBCs will not be given to Muslims.

'Uddhav and Pawar are duplicates'

Modi said Uddhav's Shiv Sena and Sharad Pawar's NCP are duplicates and they decided to join Congress after the elections. So people should stand with BJP's Ajit Pawar and Eknath Shinde, he demanded.
